Top 3 Horror Movie Series of All Time

Sunday, February 9, 2014

Horror movies are my favorite genre just for the simple fact that they are the most fun movies to watch. There are so many good horror movies out their but there are also a ton of bad ones. So which ones should you start watching?

3. Halloween
A classic for anyone who likes serial killer movies. Michael Myers is by far my favorite masked serial killer of all time. He is silent, deadly, doesn't talk, but lethal! This series is great to watch all year around, but it's best to watch on... Halloween. For any of you who are unfamiliar with this series, it's basically about this guy named Michael Myers who was committed to an insane asylum when he was a kid for murdering his sister. Then 15 years later, he escaped and started to kill a bunch of people in Haddonfield, IL, including his family. It is definitely a classic and worth watching. Here is a clip of Michael Myers in action:

2. A Nightmare on Elm Street
Whatever you do....DON'T.... FALL...ASLEEP! This movie is great for people who want to watch something new. This movie is frighting, scary, but funny at times because of Freddy Krueger, who in my opinion is on of the funniest serial killers of all time. The movie is based on Freddy Krueger stalking teens in their dreams and killing them. The reason why he does this is because their parents burned him alive because he murdered kids and got away with it. This movie is absolutely terrifying, that is why you need to watch it, now!

1. Saw
By far the best horror movie series of all time, hands down, even though a lot of people disagree because after saw 3, the movies went downhill. But I still love this series. After every movie in this series, their is a twist and it always gives me the chills. I probably watched each movie in this series about 5 times and I never get tired of it. This movie is about a guy named John Kramer or "Jigsaw" who lost his unborn son and his wife, which led him to a dark path. But once when he found out he had cancer that was inoperable, he went down even darker. He tried to commit suicide by crashing his car but then survived it and claimed that he was "reborn". He then designed traps or games for people who have been bad in their lives and needed to be tested if they appreciate lives enough. It is an amazing series and you need to watch them all in order. My favorite parts of this movie is the last 10 minutes when you get chills. And I promise you that you will.
