Pretty Little Liars: Who is The Black Widow

The black widow is an unknown character who first appeared on the first episode of the 4th season. She may be the leader of the A-team or just one of A's pawns, but there is no question she's on the team. So who is she? Have we seen her before? What are her motives? Well, here's what we know.

First, lets eliminate some people. Emily, Spencer, Aria, Hanna, Mona, Jenna, Pam fields, and Maggie Cutler. We can eliminate these people because they attended Wilden's funeral. Some people think that the black widow is Paige but judging from the photo, they don't have the same figure. So now let's get to the good stuff, who is this monster?

The main suspect is Melissa. She has the most motive out of everyone and her shape looks nearly identical to the black widow's. Also, Marlene King(one of the writers of pll) refers to her as 'the black widow' and Melissa became a widow when Ian died. We also know Melissa likes disguises. We know that she was the queen of hearts and the black swan so she obviously likes to spy on the liars, just like black widow. For me, I would be very surprised if the lady in black wasn't Melissa because she makes the most sense out of everyone and like I said, she is very skinny, just like the black widow and there aren't to many people on the show that could fit her body type.

So any other suspects? The only other people that I could see is Ashley Marin or Cece. I highly doubt that it's either of them and Ashley has no motive. The only two reasons why I think she could be is because she looks like black widow and she wanted to go to his funeral but remain anonymous. Also Cece was red coat and since she was on the run, I highly doubt she has time to stalk and torture the liars.

Some Facts about The Black Widow

• Marlene King said that we have seen black widow unmasked in season 4.
• Marlene King also said that she is PLL endgame. Does this mean she is big A?
• It is presumed that the black widow will be the main antagonist in season 5.
• Based on the burnt mask we saw on her at the end of season 4 episode 1, she may be connected to the lodge fire. 
• When a fan asked  Marlene King on twitter if Red Coat and The Black Widow are the same person, she tweeted back "not ready to give that up yet". 
• The Black Widow is literally a spider who kills those she mates with.
